Hall lantern
The Hall Lantern has two arrows, up and down, one above the other. It is the sign real elevator groups have above every landing door: it tells waiting people which door to go to.
On the floor
Place it above or beside a landing door. It belongs to the shaft next to it (the nearest running elevator within 6 blocks) and to the floor it hangs at, meaning the highest floor at or below its own height.
| Arrow | Meaning |
|---|---|
| green arrow up | the car of this shaft is coming here, or stands here with its doors open, and will go up |
| orange arrow down | the same, and it will go down |
| both lit | the car is coming and has no direction yet |
| both blink red | this elevator is out of order |
| both dark | the car is not coming here, or the elevator is switched off |
In a group, only the lantern of the car that answers the call lights up. Together with the arrival chime (one tone up, two down) people know which car is theirs.
In the cabin
Glued inside the car, the lantern shows the car's own direction of travel; on a fault both arrows blink red.
Placing
Like the floor indicators: flat on the wall, and above a double door click near the block edge or use Create's Wrench to move it half a block to the side. See Floor indicators.
Floor indicators
7 Segment, Dot Matrix and Brass Dial floor indicators, on the floor and in the cabin, and how to centre them over a double door.
Cabin lights
LED Panel, Spot and Brass Pendant cabin lights, how they follow the elevator's state with operation, off and emergency light, and how they light the cabin.
