Overview

What Create Managed Railways is, what it adds to Create and Create Railways Navigator, and where to find what in this wiki.

Create Managed Railways (CMR) is an addon for Create 6 and Create Railways Navigator (CRN). It turns Create's trains into a railway run the German way.

It starts with the timetable. In Create every train carries its own schedule. With CMR you keep one schedule per CRN line and apply it to all trains of that line at once. Around that the mod builds what a railway needs: a signal box with a live track diagram, light signals and signs from the German signal book, PZB and ETCS train protection, train radio, couplers, level crossings, station equipment and a driver's cab for your trains.

CMR extends CRN, it does not replace it. Lines, line colours, permissions and the departure boards still come from CRN. CMR refers to CRN's lines and never creates lines of its own.
CMR is an early development version. Back up your world before you try it, and expect rough edges.

Where to start

  1. Install the mod and its dependencies: Installation.
  2. Follow the First steps: a managed schedule for a line, a light signal and a train with a driver's console.
  3. Look up the rest whenever you need it. In game, hold W over an item for its Ponder scene; there are scenes for every signal system, the signal box, PZB, ETCS, train radio, couplers and more.
Most blocks along the line (signals, signs, lamps, crossings) open their settings with a right-click of Create's wrench. Changing them needs the management permission, see Permissions and districts.
