Signals

Copying settings

In creative mode, Ctrl + pick block on a signal, speed board, lamp or station sign takes its settings along, so the copy is placed ready set up.

Setting up thirty signals or lamps one by one takes time. In creative mode, Minecraft's "pick block with data" helps: hold Ctrl and press the middle mouse button on a block. For the blocks below CMR takes their settings along, and the copy is placed ready set up.

BlockWhat is copied
Light Signaltype, indicators and their digits, extra light, designation, and the settings in its block state
Speed Boardkind, digit, on/off
Railway Lamptype, switching mode and hours
Crossing Monitoring Signalits form
Sign boardsthe chosen board, its lettering and, on switching signs, the mode
Station Name Sign, Platform Number Cubelettering and style; the mounting follows from where you place it. See Stations
Kilometre Stoneits kilometre value, and the copy shows on the track map too

Set up one block

Place and configure one block with Create's wrench, for example a railway lamp with At dusk.

Pick it with data

Look at it in creative mode and press Ctrl + middle mouse button. The item in your hand now carries the settings.

Place the copies

Every block you place from that stack has the same settings.

This works in creative mode only, as it does for Minecraft's own blocks. For a two-block light signal it does not matter which half you pick: the data of the other half is taken along.
A copied light signal also takes its designation along. Give each copy its own name afterwards, so you can tell them apart on the track map and in the signal box.
