Signals

Sign boards

More than a hundred signs from the German signal book in one item per category - Ne, Ra, El, Ts, Bü, Lf, mast signs and orientation signs - picked from a selection window.

The signs of the German signal book come as one item per category. You place the item, then pick the sign it shows from a window that lists them all. Together with the switching signals and the station signs there are 157 signs.

Placing and picking a sign

Place the item

Take the item of the category, for example the Ne Sign, and place it. Where you place it decides how it is mounted (see below).

Open the selection window

Right click the sign with Create's wrench. Changing it needs the management right.

Pick the sign

The window shows every sign of the category. Click the one you want.

Fill in the lettering

Signs with digits, letters, kilometre figures or names have a Lettering field. Type it in; the sign uses a typeface close to the German DIN 1451 sign lettering.

SettingWhat it does
LetteringText on the sign, if it has any (speed digits, block numbers, tunnel names, kilometres ...).
Own mastThe sign stands on a post of its own instead of hanging flat.
MastStyle of that post: Tubular, green / Tubular, galvanised / Tubular, black / Lattice.
OperationOnly for signals that switch, see Switching signals.

Where a sign can go

PlacedResult
Free on the groundOn its own galvanised post, facing you. Can also be diagonal.
On top of a signal mast or a light signal's mastIn front of the mast, in the mast's style. Several signs can be stacked on one mast.
Against the side of a blockFlat on the wall, facing away from it. On a slab or thin panel it moves back half a block.
Sign boards are pure signage: they do not stop or slow down trains. To really limit the speed, use the Speed Board.
