Departure signals
At German stations the platform staff tell the driver to close the doors (Zp 10) and to depart (Zp 9). CMR has both as signals that follow the schedule of the train standing in the station.
How they work
A Zp Signal looks for the Create station block nearby (up to 32 blocks away) and watches the train standing there. From the train's schedule it knows how long the train still waits.
| Time | Signal |
|---|---|
| About 8 seconds before departure | Zp 10 (close doors) lights |
| About 3 seconds before departure | Zp 9 (depart) lights |
| Until about 3 seconds after the train has left | Zp 9 stays lit |
When the train waits for something that cannot be foreseen, such as cargo or a redstone signal, instead of a fixed time, Zp 10 stays dark and Zp 9 lights the moment the train leaves.
Setting one up
Place the sign
Place a Zp Signal at the platform, within 32 blocks of the Create station block.
Choose the signal
Right-click it with Create's wrench and pick the signal: Zp 9: Depart (light signal), Zp 9: Depart (light strip, old type), Zp 10: Close Doors or Zp 10: Close Doors (T, S-Bahn).
Done
It finds the station by itself and switches with the next train.
The brake test signals Zp 6, Zp 7 and Zp 8 are in the same item but do not switch.
Setting it by hand
Like all switching signals, a Zp signal has three modes: Automatic (follows the trains), On and Off. Set the mode at the block or from the Signals tab of the signal box; Automatic releases it again. More in Signals.
