Announcements

Calls to the platform loudspeakers of one station or of all stations, and your own notices, from the signal box.

The platform loudspeakers announce arrivals, connections and departures by themselves, see Stations. From the signal box you add your own words.

Call to all

In the Announcements tab press Call to all and type the text. It goes at once to every loudspeaker that has listeners.

Call to one station

In the Stations tab select the station and press Call. Only the loudspeakers of that station speak it. A desk with a control area may make calls to the stations inside its area.

Between the trains the loudspeakers play notices such as "Smoking is only permitted in the marked smoking areas". In the Announcements tab you add your own: New notice, type the text, Enter. The loudspeakers play them in turn with the built-in ones. Delete removes a notice (second click to confirm).

The list has a limit, and a notice that is already in it is not added twice.

/cmr announce all <text>
/cmr announce station <station> <text>
/cmr announce notice list | add <text> | remove <number>

Notices and calls to all belong to the admin desk. A desk with a control area only reaches its own stations.
