Train Radio
Emergency call
The emergency call stops the trains in the area and reaches everybody at once.
The emergency call is the red Emergency button in every radio window: on the train, on the handheld radio, at the radio desk and at the signal telephone.
What happens
- Every subscriber within 512 blocks that has a network hears the emergency call at once, with its own alarm tone and a red chat line "EMERGENCY CALL from ... – all trains stop!".
- Other calls in the area end; the emergency call has priority.
- Every train with a cab radio in the area brakes to a stand and is held for about 20 seconds. The train that made the call stops as well.
- The history of the radios shows how many trains were stopped.
After the trains have stopped they may go on. The emergency call itself stays open for up to two minutes so that the people in it can talk, or until it is hung up.
Trains without a cab radio do not hear the emergency call and are not stopped. And without a network nothing goes
out, not even an emergency call. Make sure your masts cover the line.
By command
/cmr radio emergency raises an emergency call from where you stand. It needs the same right as the signal box
(CRN's "Global Settings").
The emergency call is the quickest way to stop everything around a level crossing or a construction site you are
working on. Just don't make a habit of it.
