Lines & Schedules

Profiles

Saving closures and extra stops as a named profile, switching it with one click, and letting it switch by time of day.

A profile bundles closures and extra stops under one name, for example "Construction north line" or "Market day". Once saved, you switch the whole set on and off with one click, or let it switch by itself at fixed hours.

Saving a profile

Set up the disruption

Close the stations and add the extra stops the profile should contain, as described in Closures and extra stops.

Save it

Open the Profiles tab and click Save current state as profile. Type a name (up to 32 characters) and confirm.

Done

The profile takes over all current closures and extra stops and is active at once, so nothing changes for the trains. The closures and extra stops are now part of the profile: they no longer appear as single closures, and deactivating the profile removes them all together.

There must be at least one closure or extra stop to save. A profile does not keep reasons for its closures; reasons are only for closures set by hand.

Switching a profile

Select the profile. Its details show whether it is Active - its closures and extra stops apply or Inactive, and list its Closures (n) and Extra stops (n).

ButtonWhat it does
Activate / DeactivateSwitches the profile. Like every closure this is only noted until you apply, unless Effective at once is on.
TimetableSwitches the profile by time of day, see below.
Timetable offRemoves the time window.
DeleteNeeds a second click (Really delete?).

Timetable: switching by time of day

Timetable asks for two hours of the game day (0 to 23): when the profile switches on, and when it switches off again. The details then read Timetable: daily 22:00–5:00, for example. The window may run past midnight.

  • At those hours the profile switches on or off and all lines are applied at once, without anyone pressing a button.
  • The game day starts at 6 o'clock (day time 0), as the clocks of CMR and CRN show it.
  • You can still switch a profile with a timetable by hand. That holds until the timetable switches next time.
A timetable is handy for regular changes such as a night closure of a station or an extra stop during the day at a station that is only busy then. For a whole different schedule at night, use the night schedule of a line instead.
