Lines & Schedules

Managed schedules

Creating managed schedules from a Create schedule item or from scratch, editing them in the window, and taking them out as an item again.

A managed schedule is a named Create schedule that belongs to no train. It lives in the world data of CMR, and you assign it to one or more lines. You manage them in the Schedules tab of the line manager window.

Creating a schedule

There are two ways.

  1. Fill a Create schedule item in Create's editor, with all entries and conditions you want.
  2. Hold it in your main hand.
  3. In the Schedules tab click New from hand, type a name and confirm with Enter.

The schedule is copied as it is, with every entry Create knows, including CRN's Travel Section entries and the CMR entries Couple and Split Train.

Names are up to 32 characters long and must be unique.

Details of a schedule

Select a schedule on the left. On the right you see:

  • Assigned to lines (n): the lines that use it.
  • Entries (n): its entries in order. Closed stops are marked (closed, skipped), extra stops start with + and show their waiting time; a click on an extra stop removes it.

Editing in the window

Click Edit. The window shows the entries as a numbered list, for example 2. Harbour (waits 20 s). Click an entry to select it.

ButtonWhat it does
Add stopAsks for the station and the waiting time in seconds. The new stop goes after the selected entry, or at the end if nothing is selected.
Move up / Move downMoves the selected entry.
Waiting timeReplaces all conditions of the selected stop with a fixed waiting time (0 to 3600 seconds).
Remove entryDeletes the selected entry.
DoneLeaves the editor.
The editor only creates stops with a fixed waiting time. Other entries (CRN's Travel Section, Create's other instructions, complex conditions) are shown as (custom conditions) or by their name. You can move and remove them in the editor, but you create them through the schedule item.
The station is a Create station filter, so it may contain * as a wildcard, for example Central * for every platform of Central Station.

Working with the item

ButtonWhat it does
Get as itemPuts the schedule into your inventory as a Create schedule item (dropped if your inventory is full).
Replace from handReplaces the content with the schedule item in your main hand. Name, line assignments and extra stops stay.

So to make bigger changes: Get as item, edit the item in Create's editor, Replace from hand. Then apply the lines again.

Other buttons

ButtonWhat it does
DuplicateCopies the schedule under a new name, with its extra stops. Handy for a night schedule or a variant.
RenameChanges the name. Assignments stay.
DeleteNeeds a second click (Really delete?). Lines that used it lose their assignment, and its extra stops are removed from profiles. The trains keep what they run.
Add extra stopSee Closures and extra stops.
Changing a managed schedule does not change any train by itself. The trains get the new version when you apply the line, or automatically on lines with auto-sync.

By command

/cmr schedule list
/cmr schedule new <name> empty schedule
/cmr schedule import <name> from the item in your hand; replaces a schedule of the same name
/cmr schedule export <name> as an item into your inventory
/cmr schedule copy <name> <newName>
/cmr schedule rename <name> <newName>
/cmr schedule delete <name>
/cmr schedule stop add <name> <position> <station> [waitSeconds]
/cmr schedule stop remove <name> <position>
/cmr schedule stop move <name> <position> up|down
/cmr schedule stop wait <name> <position> <waitSeconds>

Positions count from 1. Names with spaces go in quotes; tab completion suggests them.
