Installation
Requirements
CMR runs on Forge for Minecraft 1.20.1. It needs Create, Create Railways Navigator and DragonLib. The versions below are the ones the mod is built and tested against.
| Mod | Version |
|---|---|
| Minecraft | 1.20.1 |
| Forge | 47.2.1 or newer (47.x) |
| Create | 6.0.8 |
| Create Railways Navigator (CRN) | beta-0.10.0-C6 |
| DragonLib | beta-3.0.28 |
| Java | 17 or newer |
Installing
Install Forge
Install Forge 47.2.1 or newer for Minecraft 1.20.1, on the client and on the server.
Add the required mods
Put Create, Create Railways Navigator and DragonLib in the matching versions into the mods folder.
Add Create Managed Railways
Put the CMR jar (createmanagedrailways-forge-<version>.jar) into the same mods folder.
Do the same on the server
CMR must be installed on the server and on every client that joins. A client without CMR cannot join a server with CMR, and the other way round.
Start the game
On the first start you find the CMR items in five creative tabs right after Create's tabs: Managed Railways: Signal Box and Signals, Signs, Station and Lineside, Train and Level Crossing.
data/createmanagedrailways.dat of the Overworld.Optional mods
CMR detects these mods by itself. Without them everything else works as usual.
| Mod | What it adds |
|---|---|
| Simple Voice Chat (Forge 1.20.1) | Speak over the train radio with your microphone. The other party hears you however far away they are. Without it, the chat goes over the radio during a call. See Train radio. |
| Pantographs and Wires | The pantograph switch and indicator on the driver's console raise and lower real pantographs under the overhead line. Without it the switch only reports that the train has no pantograph. |
Updating
- Replace the old CMR jar with the new one, on the server and on all clients.
- Read the changelog of the new version for anything that needs your attention. Two examples from version 0.4.0: gangways placed with an earlier version lose their side joins until you place one cell again, and PZB magnets placed before 0.3.0 stay beside the track and act as 2000 Hz magnets at the next signal.
